he Texas Crab Festival got its start in 1985, when a few of the Local Business folks were looking for a way to promote business and tourism in Crystal Beach. What began with a few hundred people, currently boasts thousands annually on Mothers Day Weekend for three days of Fun…Sun…and CRABS, CRABS, CRABS!

Hours: Friday 4pm-11:30pm, Saturday 10am-11:30pm, Sunday 10am-6pm
Attendance: Estimated 8000+
Cost: Friday: $15, Saturday: $15, Sunday: Free (age 15 and under Free all days)
Re-entry allowed with purchase of wristband
Parking: Free
Volunteers: Over 200 volunteers
Sponsors: Over 60 Sponsors representing a wide range of businesses and organizations
Vendor Booths: Over 90 vendor booths including food, arts and crafts
Fun Zone: Interactive inflatables and games

The Texas Crab Festival is operated by Texas Crab Festival Charities, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation whose mission is to increase educational and career opportunities for Bolivar Peninsula residents of all ages, and to support local organizations that further the goal of improving the lives of the residents of Bolivar Peninsula.

As the Texas Crab Festival continues to bring folks together each year for a fun-filled family weekend of entertainment, it also strives to give back. The Festival creates awareness of what our Gulf Coast community has to offer in terms of tourism, food and entertainment opportunities, encourages peninsula involvement, supports youth development, scholarships, and unites the community of Bolivar Peninsula in a spirit of pride. So while you, your family, and friends are enjoying all the music, art and fabulous food the Texas Crab Festival has to offer, know that you are also helping to give back to our very special and unique community.

Festival Rules

No cans, bottles, glass containers, alcoholic beverages or weapons may be brought into the Festival.

Everyone entering the Festival is subject to search by Law Enforcement Officials. This includes guests, volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, contractors, and entertainers.

Participation in all activities available at the Texas Crab Festival is by choice and at the participant’s own risk.
